(Hassan and Assefa tangled in the final chute before the final kick to the finish.) Kenya\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.runnersworld.com\/news\/a60455894\/hellen-obiri-wins-2024-boston-marathon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hellen Obiri<\/a>, winner of the last two Boston Marathons, came across in 2:23:10 for bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have no words. Every moment in the race I was regretting that I ran the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters,\u201d she said afterward. \u201cI was telling myself if I hadn\u2019t done that, I would feel great today. From the beginning to the end, it was so hard. Every step of the way. I was thinking, \u2018Why did I do that?
